We are looking for talented freelancers with experience in motion graphics, video editing and videography.
Marrin Media is a video production company located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We have produced over 3000 hours of video: everything from fashion to trucking. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, as well as education or experience in one or more of the following areas:
Undergraduate or College degree in Journalism, Communications, Video Production, Digital Media Design, or other relevant field.
Professional experience in video editing and motion graphics.
Previous experience in corporate video production an asset.
Essential skills and assets:
Understanding of pre-production and scripting processes.
Consulting with stakeholders in production and post production processes.
Pre-visualizing and/or storyboarding shot ideas based on scripts or project outlines.
Reviewing shooting script and raw material to make intelligent shot decisions.
Ability to cut and assemble footage, input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
Innate ability to artfully cut and sequence videos to ensure smooth running.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.
Ability to work with multiple Adobe Suite programs (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) including editing, color grading, video effects, graphic design, motion graphics/animation, audio editing and mixing, exporting and video compression.
Knowledgeable about Cinema 4D or similar 3D development programs.
Knowledgeable about full HD and 4K video format from camera to export.
Can display a working knowledge of lighting, audio, and camera operation fundamentals via examples of past work.
Familiarity with DSLR cameras and cinema cameras an asset.
Routinely performs environmental scanning to stay current on new and emerging video production technologies and industry’s best practices.
Comfortability in taking feedback and constructive criticism.
Strong eye for design and visual storytelling.
Familiarity with Mac operating systems an asset.
Performs other duties as needed.
